11/11: The Art of Unsetting & Resetting Intentions When Your Manifestations Aren’t Showing Up

I woke up this morning on 11/11 thinking about the power of unerring intentions.

From childhood, we’re trained to plan. Plan your future. Plan your days. Plan your backup plans. Somewhere along the way, intentions and plans got tangled together, and we started calling everything an “intention,” even when it was just fear dressed up as responsibility.

I see this all the time with my clients. They “plan” for things they don’t actually want.
You’ve heard that old line: “Hope for the best, plan for the worst.” Or “Save for a rainy day.”
It wires us to expect storms instead of sunshine.

And then there are the money beliefs. So many people say, “I can’t plan that trip” or “I can’t start that dream because I won’t have the money.” I always pause and think… how can you already know you won’t? Why decide that so far in advance? And then wonder why nothing is moving?

Because once you let the spirit world into your daily rhythm… you quickly witness that you don’t always need the “money” to do the thing. Magic moves differently.

Today is a perfect day to test that magic.

8 Reasons to Unset Your Intentions Today

  1. You may have set an intention from fear, not desire.

  2. Your intention might be too small for who you’re becoming.

  3. You may be unintentionally preparing for worst-case scenarios.

  4. You’ve outgrown an old belief that was baked into the original intention.

  5. Your timelines might be borrowed from someone else’s expectations.

  6. Your manifestations require a different path than the one you planned.

  7. The universe may be trying to hand you something better but needs room.

  8. You deserve intentions rooted in expansion, not anxiety.

Let’s Reset the Energy Together

On this day of magic and alignment, I want to check in with you on any limitations you’ve accidentally placed on yourself. Let's undo those. Today we’re unsetting intentions and setting new ones. And we’re tossing unhelpful, restrictive plans out the window.

If your plan involves settling, shrinking, or forcing yourself into something because you think it’s your only option… cancel that. Immediately.
The universe has fresher blueprints.

I love to periodically “unset” intentions because sometimes the universe has a far better plan than anything on my vision board. I bet you can think of moments where life surprised you in the best way.

Here are two from mine:

When the Universe Had a Better Plan Than I Did

My husband.
I once believed I knew exactly what kind of partner I wanted: no kids, artsy, tall, long hair, played guitar, into yoga… the whole thing. Yet relationship after relationship left me feeling off.
One day I tossed my list up to God and said, “Okay. Maybe You know better. Help me out.”

Then at my kids’ field day, up walks this big, kind, bald dad. Not my “type” at all.
A year later we were inseparable and I remembered—deep in my bones—that my soul had been looking for this man for lifetimes. He’s so different from me and somehow the perfect match.

My car.
I thought I wanted a midsize crossover. I kept bouncing between options. Then in a journey, my guides showed me a garage with multiple cars and said,
“You’re torn because you think you only get one. You’re getting more than one.”

After the Airstream. After needing towing capacity. After life shifted… it made sense.
I had to let go of the smaller crossover I put on my vision board and open up to a bigger, more aligned option.

Once I stopped forcing the “plan,” everything flowed.

If Something Hasn’t Manifested Yet, Here’s Why It Might Be a Good Thing

There are places in your life where something still hasn’t shown up… and there’s likely a beautiful reason. But today we’re going to help things along by loosening your grip on the old plan and opening the doors to richer possibilities.

Here’s your 11/11 ritual:

Your 11/11 Intention Reset Ritual

Step 1: List 3 things that haven’t shown up yet.

Anything you’ve been waiting on. Anything that feels stalled.

Step 2: Write 3–5 playful “What if” reasons why they’re delayed.

Let this be lighthearted and imaginative.
Example ideas:
· “What if the universe is saving me from a mediocre version?”
· “What if the perfect option isn’t ready yet because it’s still being crafted?”
· “What if this delay is actually protection?”
· “What if something bigger needs to shift first?”

Step 3: Cancel the original intention and go bigger.

Let yourself stretch.
Here are two examples to model the energy:

Example A
Old: “I want a job that pays me a little more and doesn’t stress me out.”
New: “I’m calling in work that feels meaningful, pays beautifully, and supports my peace.”

Example B
Old: “I want a partner who treats me decently.”
New: “I’m calling in a love that cherishes me, grows with me, and elevates my whole life.”

Unsetting an intention isn’t failure. It’s refinement.
It’s saying, I’m willing to see this through a bigger doorway.

Try this and check back in with me in a few weeks. I can’t wait to hear what magic unfolds for you.
